As we enter the festive season, we start looking for things to do with our friends, family and loved ones. There’s a buzz in the air as people look forward to time off work, a fresh New Year and of course Christmas presents!
I might be a bit biased, but I can’t wait to share Ecoodle missions with my friends and family when we get together, and maybe even completing a few whilst we all have some well-deserved time off!
It’s sometimes hard to know what to do when the nights draw in and the air gets colder (or rainier), but in my house we’ve been enjoying the creative outlets of the Ecoodle pack. November’s monthly mission was to create an eco-brick and we’ve got a few from all the saved plastic at home and at work.
December’s will of course be the ‘Gift for Earth’ mission, which is really an excuse to grab some eco-friendly wrapping materials and get creative for all my Christmas presents I’m giving this year. I’m talking festive cotton ribbon, patterned reusable bags, and my favourite idea so far: a big present tag which your family all reuses so you can see who it was gifted to in Christmases past – sustainable and sentimental.
I’ve also got a few Secret Santa gifts which an Ecoodle pack will be perfect for and some friends I’d love to join me in my January challenge – 30 missions in the month of January. It would be 31 in 31 days, but I thought I’d let people off for the 1st. Not only is it the gift that keeps on giving, it’s the gift that gets you greener!
I don’t know about you, but climate change has felt closer and closer to home as this year has gone by and I want to do as much as I can to help the environment. Kicking off the New Year with an #ecoodling resolution will give me loads of inspiration and motivation I’m sure and help me avoid the January blues!
Why not join me? If your New Year’s resolution is to change your habits, become more sustainable and generally reduce your negative impact on the earth, then an Ecoodle pack would be perfect for you. Choose to join the January Challenge and share with us online or pick how you want to challenge yourself and play your way – we don’t mind!
Already got a pack? Why not get your friends and family involved too and maybe get a bit of a competition going!?
I can’t wait to see all the ecoodling pictures and I’ll be sharing some of my favourites!
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Enjoy Ecoodling!
